Beaver County Senior Citizen Gardens / New Brighton Children’s Garden

Beaver County Senior Citizens’ Garden – Brighton First Project beginning in 2018:

In 2018, Brighton First assumed the management of the Beaver County Senior Citizens’ Garden after a prior, non-locally based non-profit left after many decades of sponsorship. During Brighton First’s management, the garden expanded its infrastructure, raised beds and shelter improvements. Currently, Brighton First hopes to have a more structurally sound border fence installed in 2024/5 as funding requests allow.

New Brighton Childrens’ Garden created in 2019:

Teaching the children of New Brighton about healthy eating, gardening as an activity and also providing social support such as winter clothing/school supplies and family-based fun such as crafts and outdoor activities.

There is a seasonal garden and a small orchard with plans for an Activities/Educational Center for 2024/5 as funding allows. The property is owned and maintained by Brighton First from 2019 by a grant from operational funds by the non-profit.
